The Tudor Beasts series is the Royal Mint’s follow-up to the Queen’s Beasts. For investors who came in late on the previous series, this is the next chance to buy in early.

The collection celebrates the heraldic creatures associated with the Tudor dynasty, beginning with the Seymour Panther and Lion of England. The design and minting standards are at the top end of what the Mint produces.

Anyone who picked up early Queen’s Beasts releases in NGC PF70 has done well. Whether Tudor Beasts repeats the trick is not guaranteed, but the early signs, strong demand for first issues, healthy premium expansion on top grades, are pointing the same way.

These coins are UK legal tender and therefore CGT-free. Investment-grade gold is also VAT-free, which keeps the entry cost efficient.

Grading is the deciding factor. PF69 examples are widely available; PF70s are harder to find and tend to be where the meaningful premium sits.
