Tudor Beasts Seymour Panther: Early Performance Validates the Series
The Tudor Beasts series, launched by the Royal Mint in 2022 with the Seymour Panther, is following a trajectory that looks very similar to the Queen’s Beasts. For investors who recognise the pattern, that is significant.
NGC PF70 Seymour Panther 1oz gold coins started life at modest premiums, around £200 to £300 above gold content. Eighteen months later those premiums sat between £600 and £900, mirroring the early-stage move of the first Queen’s Beasts releases.
The series will run to ten coins, each based on a heraldic beast associated with the Tudor dynasty. The next two releases, the Lion of England and the Yale of Beaufort, have both seen strong demand for their PF70 versions.
The historical playbook from Queen’s Beasts says the same thing every time: buy early issues in PF70 grade and hold through to series completion. The first Queen’s Beasts coin, the Lion of England, has seen its PF70 premium rise more than 400 percent since 2016.
These coins are CGT-free UK legal tender. The investment case combines gold price exposure, growing numismatic premiums and the dynamics of an unfolding collectible series.
We are securing NGC PF70 Tudor Beasts coins for clients who want to position early in a series we expect to do at least as well as Queen’s Beasts over the next decade
